On Saturday, February 17, 2024, CNC Foundation, in collaboration with PLTGU Jababeka and the Bekasi Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), conducted a water rescue training to strengthen disaster response in Labansari Village.
Labansari Village is a disaster-prone area, situated between the Citarum and Cibeet rivers. Flooding is a major threat every year, particularly to the communities in Dusun 1 and Dusun 2. Through a community empowerment program based on CSR, Cipta Nusa and its partners have been supporting Labansari Village since 2021. This effort led to the formation of the Disaster-Ready Community Work Team (TKMSB), which plays a leading role in disaster mitigation and response.

To enhance community capacity, Cipta Nusa, in collaboration with its partners, organizes water rescue training as an annual routine agenda. This training includes techniques for using rubber boats, rescue with ring buoys, first aid, and other related topics. The aim of this activity is to better prepare the community of Labansari Village to face the frequent floods that affect the area.
Initiatives and Achievements in 2023
In 2023, Cipta Nusa and its partners successfully established four units of Early Warning System (EWS) based on Renewable Energy Technology (EBT) in Dusun 1 and Dusun 2. Additionally, Labansari Village received a district-level award and was selected as the representative of Bekasi Regency in the Provincial Disaster-Resilient Village Competition.
Food Security Plans for 2024
In 2024, Cipta Nusa and its partners plan to develop a food security program through livestock and agriculture sectors in Labansari Village. The program aims to improve self-sufficient food production and support the welfare of local entrepreneurs.
This Pentahelix collaboration is a tangible example of synergy between the community, government, private sector, academia, and media in addressing disaster challenges. Through these various initiatives, Labansari Village is expected to become a model of a disaster-resilient village that is also economically and environmentally self-sustaining.
